Why do we like one book more than others? What is it? Is it that we identify with the characters? Do they go on exciting adventures? Or is it that the author creates vivid images we can imagine? All of the above? What does your “critical eye” see in a good book?

This “It’s Your Choice” novel unit is designed to help you develop your “critical eye” and enjoy learning about literature through studying a novel of your choice and discovering why it was, or possibly was not, a good book.
